Our Mission

What we are actually trying to do, in plain words.

Mission statement

To give every child we reach a real education, a full stomach, good health and a family that can stand on its own.

That is the whole thing. We measure ourselves against it honestly, and we publish what we find, including what did not work.

01

Keep children in school

Remove the reasons children drop out - fees, books, hunger, illness, distance - one family at a time.

02

Feed before you teach

No child can concentrate while hungry. A daily meal comes before a lesson plan.

03

Treat health as urgent

Regular camps, quick referrals and follow-up for the illnesses that quietly derail a childhood.

04

Make families independent

Skill training and small livelihood support so that our help stops being needed.

Our approach

How we work

Three rules that do not bend, whatever the programme.

We listen first

We spend time in a community before we spend money in it - talking to families, teachers and local health workers before deciding what to run.

Someone owns it

Every programme has a named person responsible, a written budget and a monthly record. What is not working gets stopped, not defended.

Nothing hidden

Donations are receipted immediately, spending is documented with photographs, and our accounts are audited and published every year.
